Sibrian, Lucas Selected All-South Coast Conference Women's Volleyball

Freshman outside hitter Victoria Sibrian and frosh setter Aileen Lucas were Compton College's representatives on the 2024 All-South Coast Conference South Division Women's Volleyball Team.

Selected on First Team, the 5-foot-11 Sibrian was the team's MVP all season as she led the entire 10-team SCC in kills per set at 4.19. She was fifth in the conference in hitting percentage (.267). Her 3.12 digs per set led Compton as did her 42 blocks.

Chosen to Second Team, Lucas didn't take over the setter spot until six matches into the season. Mostly setting the go-to hitter in Sibrian, Lucas averaged 3.4 assists per set and was a solid defender with a 1.46 digs average.

Coach Moe Scott directed Compton in a renewal of the program after it was dormant last year.

"This season has been a lesson with each loss," Scott said. "We are proud of what we accomplished but stay hungry for more to come in the future. Our entire team continued to improve with Victoria at the top of the conference kills per set leaderboard, and Joshlynn Lopez one of the better servers (29 aces).

"Aileen got better each match at setter. We are so proud of everyone for their resilience they have shown. The future is bright for Compton College volleyball."
