Compton Hosts First-Ever Home Women's Volleyball Game

Compton, Calif. - Compton College made history once again Wednesday night as they hosted the Cerritos College Falcons for the college's first-ever home women's volleyball game. The Tartars women's volleyball team lost in three sets (7-25, 4-25, 7-25).

Celeste Valencia was the first athlete to score for the Tartars on an opening serve ace, that would be one of three for Valencia. The Tartars were also led by freshman Stevee Sprowl, who had a team high total of eight kills for the game.

Although the Tartars gave much effort the Falcons were able to win in 3 sets with limited errors in the game.

The Tartars next game will be at home on Friday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. against conference opponent Long Beach City College
