Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Rosalyn Ascencio recorded 22 saves, but the Compton women's soccer team dropped a 10-0 match to Long Beach in its home finale on Tuesday afternoon.
Ascencio and sophomores Julissa Gamboa, Diana Gonzalez, Marisol Mercado, Carina Perez and Jamia Smith were honored as the team's sophomores prior to the start of the game.
The Tartars (3-15, 0-7) head to LA Harbor for their season finale on Friday, Nov. 9 for a 5 p.m. start.
