Women's Soccer Falls to Chaffey

Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Carina Perez scored in the 15th minute in the Compton women's soccer 6-1 loss to Chaffey on Friday afternoon.

Perez chipped the ball over the keeper's head at the penalty line off a pass from freshman Jeanna Marin as the Tartars took the early 1-0 lead in the match.

Sophomore Rosalyn Ascencio played the first half at keeper, counting eight saves, before freshman Brandy Silva Ochoa earned a pair of saves in the second half.

Compton (3-8-0, 0-4-0) heads to Pasadena City next for a SCC crossover match on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 2 p.m.
