While the Compton College women's basketball team hasn't achieved what it hoped for in the 2023-24 season, sophomore post player Sierra Crook has individually pushed the limits with her outstanding rebounding ability.

Compton will close out the season on Friday at LA Southwest College with Crook, now the #4 leading rebounder in the state with a 17.1 boards per game average, playing in her community college finale.

Crook, the South Coast Conference's top rebounder, also leads Compton in scoring with a 12.1 points average.

On Jan. 31 in a loss to LA Harbor, Crook scored a season-high 31 points and pulled down 21 rebounds. A game earlier v. Cerritos saw the 5-foot-9 performer total an amazing 28 rebounds to go with her 10 points and three blocked shots.

She had a 15-point, 27-rebound performance v. Canyons back in December. In the team's most recent game v. Harbor, she scored 19 points and added 20 boards.

Six times she has reached the 20-rebound plateau.
