Compton, Calif. – Two Women’s Basketball athletes were names received All SCC South Team Honors this past week. Sophomore Andranae Powns earned the SCC South First Team Honors and sophomore Niea Ulmer earned Second Team Honors.

Powns participated in 25 games during the 2019-2020 season. She is ranked first in the SCC South for the number of steals throughout the season totaling 114 and averaging 4.6 per game. She was also ranked sixth in conference for averaging 14.7 points per game and eighth for averaging 8.6 rebounds per game. This is Powns’ second All team Accolade during her two years playing for Compton.

Ulmer participated in 25 games during the season. She is ranked fifth overall in state and second in the SCC South for averaging 15 rebounds per game. She is also ranked sixth for the number of blocks during the season totaling 43 and averaging 1.7 blocks per game.

Compton finished the season with an 8-19 overall record and 0-9 conference record.
