Compton, Calif - It was announced on Monday that sophomore Marceya Vernardo has committed to Missouri Valley College to continue her basketball career. Vernardo completed her second season with the Tartar's Women's Basketball Team this past 2019-2020 season. 

Vernardo primarily served as a guard for the Tartars. During the 2019-2020 season she averaged 8.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. Vernardo was also named the Tartar's February Female Student-Athlete of the month. 

The Missouri Valley Vikings participate in the NAIA and are members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference. The Vikings finished the season with an overall record of 5-22.
