Compton, Calif. - It was announced that Sophomore Niea Ulmer received the Compton Tartar 2019-20 Women's Performance of the Year Award on Monday afternoon for her double double achievement on December 7th in the match against the Citrus Owls. In this game she posted up 11 points, 20 rebounds. 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

Ulmer completed her second season with the Tartars Women's basketball team and led the team in rebounds. Ulmer was third overall in the state and second overall in conference for averaging 15.1 rebounds per game and also averaged 1.8 blocks and 1.9 steals. Ulmer received the Student-Athlete of the Month award for the month of December and was awarded SCC-South All Conference Second Team for the 2019-20 season.

Ulmer has committed to continuing her basketball career at Valley City State University this 2020-2021 basketball season.
