Compton, Calif. - Freshman Ray-Ann Rudon led off with a triple to lead the Compton softball team's 10 total hits, but the Tartars fell 10-5 to Chaffey on Thursday afternoon.

Sophomore Marlene Rodriguez and freshmen Michelle Boyer and Cristina Valladares both earned multi-hit games with two each. 

Rodriguez was charged with the complete game loss, making her record now 2-3. She struck out a pair and only gave up three earned runs.

The softball team (5-8) returns to action at West LA on Friday, Feb. 23 for a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m.
