Compton, Calif. -  Freshman Yazzmine Arrington-Edwards went 2-for-2 with a RBI, but the Tartars fell 10-1 in five innings to El Camino in their South Coast Conference opener on Tuesday afternoon.

Freshmen Cristina Valladares, Riah Nunley, and Taina Cruz all earned a hit each in the game with Cruz adding a stolen base.

Sophomore Marlene Rodridguez (2-2) was the pitcher of record in the loss.
