Compton, Calif. - Freshman Cristina Valladares posted eight RBI on the day as the softball team (2-1) picked up a pair of wins over West LA (0-8) on Friday afternoon.

The Tartars' offense saw 20 extra base hits as it won 28-4 and 27-2. Both games finished in five innings.

Freshmen pitchers Yazzmine Arrington-Edwards and Ray-Ann Rudon picked up the wins.

The team heads to Santa Monica next on Saturday, Feb. 3 for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
