Compton, Calif. – Compton participated in their first invitational at Long Beach City College Friday afternoon showcasing the programs return under Coach Davis Austin.
Freshman Arsiah McCorker ranked in two different events, the Men's Long Jump and 200 Meter Dash. McCorker placed third in the Long Jump with his longest distance reaching 6.83 meters, He then placed fourth in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.83 seconds.
Freshman Abaje Bates placed seventh in the Men's Long Jump with his longest distance reaching 6.23 meters.
Freshman Denise Sandoval placed in Top Ten in the Women's 800 Meter run achieving a time of 3:32.80.
The Track Team will compete again in the Ben Brown Invitational on March 13.
