Men's Soccer Falls After Late Goal by Mounties

Compton, Calif. - Freshman Jose Rodriguez counted four shots, including a chance late in the match, but the Compton men's soccer team fell to Mt. San Antonio, 1-0, after a late goal on Friday evening.

The Mounties scored in the 88th minute on a breakaway after a missed opportunity by the Tartars on a shot that sailed just high over the goal just seconds earlier.

Sophomore keeper Jaime Serna tallied seven saves in the complete-match outing.

The Tartars (3-10-2) remain home to host Cerritos on Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m.
