Compton, Calif. - Freshman Alfredo Trujillo scored in the 56th minute to give the Tartars the early lead, but the Compton men's soccer team (2-9-2, 0-3-1) dropped a 2-1 contest to East LA on Friday afternoon.

Trujillo led the Tartar offense with a pair of shots on goal, six total shots, while freshmen Jose Rodriguez, Jesus Gutierrez, and Adonis Arevalo each recorded two shots on goal each.

The men's soccer team heads to Rio Hondo next on Tuesday, Oct. 23 for a 6 p.m. match.
