Compton, Calif. - Freshmen Juan Albizar, Jose Pina, and Alan Arias counted goals for the Tartars (12-4-1, 4-2) as they shutout the LA Harbor Seahawks (2-11-4, 1-4), 3-0, on Friday afternoon.
Albizar scored the go-ahead goal in the 14th minute off a feed by freshman Edgar Flores. Albizar added an assist on Pina's score with sophomore Gustavo Ruiz earning an assist on Arias' goal.
Sophomore Larry Sanchez tallied six saves in the goal, while the Tartars edged the Seahawks in shots 14-13 with 10 on goal.
The Tartars continue the second half of conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Long Beach for a 2 p.m. start.
