Men's Soccer Falls after Late Goal by Rio Hondo

Compton, Calif. - After a long battle, the men's soccer team fell 1-0 in the last minute of stoppage time to Rio Hondo (9-2-3) on Friday afternoon for its Tartar Fútbol for a Cure game.

Compton (9-3-1) nearly scored early in the game before an offsides call negated the score. Overall, the two teams battled to a combined four shots on goal. The Tartars were led by sophomore Ivan Vasquez with three total shots.

The men's soccer team continues South Coast crossover competition on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at Chaffey for a 2 p.m. match.
