Compton, Calif. – It was announced on Wednesday that three Compton Men’s Basketball Student-athletes were named to the All-South Coast Conference South Division Team and Honorable Mention list. Sophomore Dominique Alexander received the SCC South Division Team accolade and freshmen Onaje Higgins and Keondre Brown both received Honorable Mention nominations.

Alexander participated in a total of 14 games for the 2019-2020 season. He is ranked first in the SCC South for highest points per game averaging 28.1. He is also ranked sixth in conference for rebounds per game averaging 8.1. Alexander also averaged 4.5 assists per game as well. In the 2018-2019 season Alexander revived Honorable Mention nomination.

Higgins started in 21 of the 26 games he participated in. He is ranked first in conference for his assist to turnover ratio. Higgins also averaged 12.3 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game.  

Brown started in 17 of the 25 games he participated in this season. He is ranked tenth in free throw percentage and eight in rebounds per game averaging 59.3 and 6.4 respectively. Brown is also ranked seventh in the SCC South for posting up 12 blocks during the season.

The Compton Tartars finished their season with a 13-15 overall record and 5-5 conference record.
