Dominique Alexander Signs with University of Antelope Valley

Compton, Calif - It was announced on Tuesday last week that sophomore Dominique Alexander has signed to the University of Antelope Valley at which he will be continuing his basketball career. 

Throughout the season Alexander participated in a total of 14 games and was ranked first in the SCC South for highest points per game averaging 28.1. He is also ranked sixth in conference for rebounds per game averaging 8.1. Alexander also averaged 4.5 assists per game as well. This year Alexander earned the January Student-Athlete of the month for Compton College and for CCCAA/ CCCSIA. He is only the second student-athlete from Compton College to receive the CCCAA Student-Athlete of the month. After the season was completed Alexander was then named to the All-South Coast Conference South Division First Team and received the Compton Tartar 2019-2020 Sophomore of the Year Award. 

The Antelope Valley Pioneers play within the NAIA in the California Pacific Conference. They completed the season with a 28-4 season record and a 14-0 conference record. The Pioneers continued onto the postseason winning the first round of championships against Washington Advenist University. Unfortunately due to the Covid 19 pandemic the post season was forced to conclude early but the Pioneers were scheduled to continue on to face Marian University in the second round.
