Compton, Calif. - It was announced on Tuesday afternoon that the Men's Basketball Team earned the Compton Tartar 2019-2020 Men's Team of the Year Award.

The Men's Basketball Team, led by Head Coach Keith Higgins, had an exciting season with four games going into overtime, three of which resulted in wins for the Tartars. One of the biggest achievements during the season was when Compton beat out the first in conference team, the Cerritos Falcons 94-75. The Tartars also did not allow the Falcons to take the lead throughout the entire game. 

The Men's Basketball Team was represented well during the Tartar Awards. Freshman Onaje Higgins earned the Men's Freshman of the Year and sophomore Dominique Alexander earned the Men's Sophomore of the Year Award. The Tartars finished the 2019-2020 season with an overall record of 13-15 and a conference record of 5-5.
