Compton, Calif. - Freshman Jason Curry led the Compton football offense with four receptions, but the Tartars came up short against East LA, 55-0, on Saturday evening.
Curry's long was 25 yards on a pass from freshman Mustafa Muhammad.
Freshman Jaquill Ruffin and sophomore Fernando Navarro paced the Compton defense with five tackles each, four solo.
The football team (0-3) heads to Santa Monica next on Saturday, Sept. 15 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
