In her fifth year at Compton College, Roberta Camacho was promoted to Athletic Coordinator for the 2023-24 athletic season.

In the past five years, Camacho has dedicated her time to helping student-athletes with their athletic eligibility, student life experience and help them build their individual character and leadership skills. 

Her responsibilities are many and include some of the following: Develops and updates lists of eligible athletes, coordinates/conducts eligibility meetings for all athletic teams throughout the school year and collects and secures all student athlete information, including Form 1’s, tracers, insurance forms, and insurance cards. She has a primary role in game management for Compton sports events.

Camacho also serves as South Coast Conference AD representative for the sport of softball.

Roberta comes to Compton from California State University, San Bernardino where she spent six years as an assistant coach and recruiter for the Coyotes softball program. 

She is a Santa Fe Springs native who has spent seven years in a multitude of responsibilities at St. Paul High School in Santa Fe Springs. She served as a varsity assistant coach from 2006-10 and head varsity coach from 2010-13. In addition to her coaching duties, she also was the school’s public relations coordinator for four years and served as a substitute teacher.
 
Along with her duties at St. Paul, she served six years as a recreation leader for the city of Santa Fe Springs.
 
Roberta played two years of softball at California State University, Stanislaus (CSUS), where she earned All-CCAA honors in 2005 and was team captain in 2006. She was an active member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and Senator of Athletics with the Associated Students Inc. (ASI). She began her college career at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, where the Mounties earned the first softball state title in 2003.
 
She received her bachelor’s degree in sociology from CSUS in 2006 and later completed her Master's Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2018. 
 
Roberta and her husband Kevin are the proud parents of son Alonzo, daughters Sunny and Camila.
