David Berck joined the Compton Athletics staff in 2004 as a full-time athletic trainer.

Prior to Compton College, Berck served at Crenshaw High School as an athletic trainer and assistant boys volleyball coach.

Before his time at Crenshaw, Berck worked with Team HEAL (Helping Enrich Athletes’ Lives), a program placing athletic trainers, full-time, at inner city high schools, for five years. He also worked at Santa Monica College post-grad.

Berck is a native of Los Angeles. He graduated with a Bachelors in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge before receiving his M.S. from Ohio University in Physical Education.
