Warriors Defeat Compton at Home

TORRANCE, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors women's soccer team defeated the Compton Tartars 3-0 at home on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

The Warriors (9-3-1, 4-1 SCC) had a dominant display over Compton as they outshot the Tartars 29-to-3.  Nayeli Sanchez was under siege all game for Compton as she made 14 saves for the game.  McKenna Morey made one save for the game.

The Warriors had a quick start to the game with a great scoring opportunity 15 seconds into the game but they wouldn't score their first goal until the 28th minute.  Ashley Ruiz scored on a ball by Tana Wynia to put the Warriors on top 1-0.

The Warriors outshot Compton 17-to-2 in the first half.  

In the second half, Allison Sibley scored a brace to put the Warriors ahead 3-0.   She scored her first goal in the 63rd minute. Tania Wynia sent a ball across the field to Natalie Rodriguez who crossed it back to a running Sibley for the score.  She added her second goal and 20th goal of the season in the 71st minute.  Claire Mahon played a short ball to Catherine Curwood -Wagner who found Sibley for her second goal of the day. Sibley has scored multiple goals in seven games so far this season. 

The Warriors will take on LA Harbor on Friday at home.  Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
