Compton, Calif. – It was announced last week that sophomore Taina Cruz and freshman Lesly Lamas have both signed with California Miramar University to continue their softball and educational careers. 

Cruz served primarily as a shortstop for the Tartar Softball Team during the 2020 Spring season. While the 2020 season was cut short, she still had a great season with a total of 9 hits, 2 doubles, 4 RBI's and 6 runs. 

Lamas served primarily as a pitcher for the Compton Tartars. Lamas had a total of 2 hits, 2 runs, and 3 RBI's. While on the mound she collected a total of 5 strikeouts. 

The upcoming 2021-2022 athletic season will be California Miramar University's inaugural season. The Fighting Falcons are looking forward to making a first season statement.
