Tartars lose 8-5 in an entertaining game against the Huskies

Compton CA- The Compton College Tartars lose 8-5 in an entertaining game against the East LA College Huskies.

The Huskies would strike first on the scoring board in the third inning, and added a run in the fourth and fifth. The Tartars would begin to fight back in the fifthe inning with an RBI single to right field by Sevon Battle (1-3), which closed the scoring margin to 3-1. Sophomore designated hitter Doug Allen (2-3) had arguably his best game of the season so far, as he had a single for an RBI and a solo homerun to left field in the eight inning to make the score 7-5 in favor of the Huskies. Unfortunately the Tartars would not be able to grab the lead as the Huskies hung on to a final score of 8-5.

The Tartars lost the three game series to the Huskies and will look to get back on the winning track against their next conference opponent, Pasadena City College.
