Compton, CA- The Compton College Tartars track team attended the Riverside City College men's and women's track & field final home meet of the season on Friday in Wheelock Stadium. Under great conditions. Freshman Keshaun Woods was able to finish in the top ten for the long jump and triple jump for the event. Woods had a long jump high of "19.2.5  Freshman teammate Cha'Ron Porter also won a 400 meter race with a time of 59.36.  

Tia Spears was the sole leader for the Women's track team for the Tartars. She won both of her events as she placed first in the 400 meters with a time of 1:01.22, and blew away the competition in 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.73. Spears continues to improve as she has eyes on qualifying for state.
