Compton Comes Up Short to Long Beach City

Compton, Calif. - The Compton Tartars (4-8-1, 1-5) fell to the Long Beach City Vikings (12-5, 6-1) Tuesday afternoon, 10-8 in 7 innings.

Freshman Alyssa Barajas lead the way as she went 3 for 4 with one double, driving in three RBIs and scoring once.

Freshman Troy Peters also collected three RBIs to go along with her 2 for 4 performance.

Sophomore Cristina Valladares pitched the majority of the game for the Tartars. She threw five innings with three strikeouts.

Compton Softball's next scheduled home game is Thursday, March 7 against Mt. San Antonio at 3 p.m.
