Compton, Calif. – Freshman Jose Oropeza lead the Tartars (4-4-2) to a 3-1 win against Allan Hancock (3-8-1), Friday afternoon, with a goal in each half. Oropeza' s first goal was assisted by freshman Edgar Gutierrez.
Sophomore Alfredo Trujillo scored in the 20 minute of the game with an assist from Freshman William Laguna. Sophomore keeper Ruben Martinez collected 8 saves allowing only one goal to be made.
The Men's Soccer Team will play again at home on Friday October 18 against Mt. San Antonio College (9-0) with a 3 PM start time.
