Football Falls to Santa Ana

Compton, Calif. - Freshman Terry Brady scored late in the third quarter, but the Compton football team fell to Santa Ana, 59-8, on Saturday evening.

Brady converted a four-yard run with four seconds remaining in the third quarter to give the Tartars their lone score of the game. Freshman Jaquill Ruffin added two more points on the board on a reception from freshman quarterback Mustafa Muhammed.

On the day, Muhammed racked up 121 yards, connecting with five receivers. Brady and sophomore Keyyon Metoyer-Bush both earned 32 yards each with Metoyer-Bush averaging 16.0 yards per reception.

Defensively, sophomore Shepherd Grant earned a game-high 12 tackles including two sacks and a tackle for a loss of 13 yards.

The Tartars (0-8, 0-4) head to LA Southwest next on Saturday, Nov. 3 for a 6 p.m. game.
