Tartars have their first night home game of the season

Compton CA - The Compton College Tartars baseball team lose series home opener to Pasadena City College Lancers 7-2.

The Lancers wasted no time as they would score a run in each of the first inning. Starting right handed pitcher Adrian Lopez was not able to keep the Lancers at bay, as they would go on to score three runs in the four innings he pitched. Lopez would go on to have a total of a team high tie of two strikeouts for the game.

Some high points for the Tartars offensively was that they were able to keep the hot bat of Doug Allen going as he was able to get a hit two out of the four times he was at bat. Allen also drove in an RBI for the team, as he would have the most hits for the game for the Tartars. However, the Tartars was not able to muster up enough hits to erase the 7-2 defecit as they would get their last run scored in the eighth inning.

UP NEXT: The Tartars will be on the road on Thursday, March 31sr, as they play Pasadena City College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00pm.
