Moss Records Five Touchdowns, Dons Cruise to 57-0 Shutout over Compton

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Beck Moss recorded five touchdowns while the Santa Ana College Football team cruised to a 57-0 shutout over the Compton College Tartars (0-6, 0-2) on Saturday night.

Moss, a sophomore quarterback out of Irvine High, went 6-of-9 in the air for 108 yards and four touchdowns. He also added 40 yards on the ground with another touchdown to lead the Dons (6-1, 2-0) to their sixth consecutive win.

It was an unusual game as the Tartars had a very limited roster with just 20 players in uniform. In addition, the teams only played about 37 minutes as quarters were shortened and the game was called early after a Compton injury.

But nonetheless, SAC took advantage of every opportunity and played an efficient game. Offensively, the Dons used 37 plays to score 57 points while recording 297 yards.

The Santa Ana defense continued to dominate, logging their first shutout of the season. They now rank first in yards per game (152.4) and sacks (34) in addition to being second in the state in points per game (12.9). Cole Miller was all over the field and accumulated 10 tackles and a sack for the Dons. Zamir Richardson had the biggest highlight for the defense with an 85 yard pick six in the third quarter.

SAC will now prepare to travel to West LA next Saturday to face the Wildcats (1-6, 1-1) in another American Metro League game. WLAC defeated Victor Valley 16-14 to earn their first win of the season on Saturday. Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
