Gibson, Ingram Named Compton December Athletes of the Month

Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Aaron Gibson (men's basketball) and Nia Ingram (women's basketball) have been named the Compton Athletics Decemver Athletes of the Month, announced Monday.

Sophomore Aaron Gibson was a major contributer in the Tartar's efforts as they went 3-3 in the month of the December. Gibson led the team in rebounds with an average of 6.7 rebounds per game, 7.6 on the season. GIbson put up two 20-plus point performances, 23 versus Oxnard on December 8 and 22 against LA Pierce on December 18. Overall this month, Gibson averaged 12.6 points, 3 assists, and 1.2 steal per game.

Nia Ingram
Guard | 5-2 | So. | Lynwood HS

Sophomore Nia Ingram led the Tartars in December by averaging 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. She reached double-figures in all but one game this month, including a 20-point performance against San Diego Mesa on December 19.
