Compton, Calif. – Sophomores Jenifer Lopez and Chloe Robinson both committed to continuing their soccer careers Thursday morning. Lopez signed with Mary Baldwin University and Robinson signed with the University of La Verne.

Lopez completed her second season as a midfielder for Tartars this past fall. During her two seasons with the Tartars, Lopez scored five goals one of which was the winning goal of the game. She also received First Team accolades for the South Coast Conference South Division. 

The Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels are in the NCAA Division III and compete in the USA South Athletic Division. They finished their 2019 season with an overall record of 6-12 and finished eighth in their conference.

Robinson was also a midfielder for the Tartars. She started in all 35 games she participated in during her two years with Compton and collected three assists during that time. Robinson also earned Second Team South Coast Conference South Divisions for both seasons.

The University of La Verne Leopards are in the NCAA Division III and compete with the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. They finished their 2019 season with an overall record of 3-12-1 and finished eighth in their conference.
