Compton, Calif. - It was announced on Monday afternoon that the Women's Soccer earned the Compton Tartar 2019-2020 Women's Team of the Year Award. 

The Women's Soccer Team conquered multiple challenges during the 2019 season. Led by Head Coach Diego Back, the team won their first ever conference game since the 2011 season, beating out Pasadena City College 2-1. They also made more goals during this season than they have in seasons prior with a total of 25 goals.

The Women's Soccer Team was well represented during the Tartar Awards. Coach Back received the Coach of the Year Award for a women's sport and sophomore Jenifer Lopez received the Women's Sophomore of the Year Award. The Women's Soccer team completed the season with a 4-9-5 overall record and 1-6-1 conference record.
