Compton, Calif. - It was announced on Wednesday afternoon that Head Coach Diego Back earned the Compton Tartar 2019-2020 Coach of the Year Award for the Women's Sport Category. Coach Back led the Women's Soccer Team. This was his first season with the Tartars. 

The Women's Soccer Team accomplished multiple mountains, one of which was winning their first ever conference game since the 2011 season. The team also made more goals during this season than they have in seasons prior with a total of 25 goals. The 2019 season finished with an overall record of 4-9-5 and a conference record of 1-6-1. 

The Women's Soccer Team looks to make a strong return this coming Fall 2020 season along with the leadership of Head Coach Back.
