Compton, Calif. – Defender Carina Perez has signed with New Mexico Highlands University to continue her soccer career, announced Thursday.
Perez was a two-year starter for the Compton women’s soccer team and received All-Conference First Team honors both years. She also tied the team in goals scored with four in the 2018 season. Perez begins her career with New Mexico Highland University this upcoming Fall 2019.
The New Mexico Highland Cowgirls are a NCAA II Division team and compete within the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. They finished their 2018 season with an overall record of 2-13-1.
