Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Barbara Najera equalized the game in the 56th minute, but the Tartars (2-14, 0-6) fell on a late goal by LA Harbor (2-13, 2-3) in stoppage time, 2-1, on Friday evening.
Freshman Marisol Mercado led the team's offensive effort with three shots of the team's total nine with Najera and freshman Maria D Lopez backing her up with two each.
In the goal, freshman Rosalyn Ascencio earned six saves on the Seahawks 12 total shots.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at Long Beach for a 4 p.m. match.
