Compton, Calif. - Freshman keeper Rosalyn Ascencio earned 10 of the team's 12 saves, but the women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 match to El Camino on Friday afternoon.
Freshman Julissa Gamboa tallied three shots to lead the Tartars, and Compton (4-6-1, 1-2-0) earned more corner kicks than the Warriors (2-9-0, 0-4-0) with three.
The women's soccer team is off until Friday, Oct. 13 when it hosts Rio Hondo for its Tartar Fútbol for a Cure match at 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
