Compton Women’s Basketball All-Conference Honors

Compton, Calif. - It was announced on Monday that two Compton women’s basketball student-athletes were named to the All-South Coast Conference South teams. Sophomore Nia Ingram was named to the SCC South First-Team and Freshman Andranae Powns was named to the SCC South Second-Team.

Ingram is being recognized for her point contributions and both offensive and defensive ball handling skills. She ranked third overall in conference for averaging 2.5 steals per game. Ingram also averaged 13.8 points per game, 2.8 assists per game, and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Powns is also being recognized for her ball handling skills. She was ranked first overall in the conference for averaging 2.9 steals per game. She averaged 13.3 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game.

The Compton Tartars finished their season with a 2-20 overall record and 1-8 conference record.
