Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Heaven Ward led the Compton Tartars (2-18, 1-6) with 19 points in Friday's home game against the Cerritos Falcons (18-10, 7-1) but were defeated 72-50.
Ward also posted up three assists and one steal. Freshmen Andranae Powns and Treshoir Cavanaugh also contributed to the team's efforts as they scored 11 and 13 points, respectively.
The Tartars' next game is at home for Sophomore/ Staff and Faculty Appreciation Night against LA Harbor on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for a 7 p.m. tip.
