Compton, Calif. - The 2020 Track and Field season was the first for Compton College since 2018. The Tartars had a great showing at the Long Beach City Invitational.   

Nineteen athletes competed at the Long Beach City Invitational. Freshman Arsiah McCorker placed in two events coming in fourth for the Men's 200 Meter race and third for the Men's Long Jump. Freshman Graciela Gomez lead the pack for the majority of the Women's 800 Meter race coming in forth.  

McCorker also earned the February Student-Athlete of the Month for his efforts at the Long Beach Invitational.  

The Track and Field team are expected to come back strong in the 2021 Spring season.
