Four Tartars Tabbed All-Conference

Compton, Calif. - Four Compton mens' soccer players were named to the All-South Coast Conference South Division teams, announced Tuesday.

Sophomore Jose Castaneda and freshman David Trevino-Lermas were tabbed first team, while freshmen Benjamin Palafox and Jose Rodriguez were second team selections.

Castaneda played in all 19 games for the Tartars at midfielder, counting five shots, including two on goal. Trevino-Lermas played in 17 games at midfielder with two goals, both against Cerritos, with 10 total shots on the season, four on goal.

Palafox played in all 19 games at defender with three goals and one assist. He connected on all three shot on goal attempts with five total shot attempts.

And Rodriguez, the Compton Athletics September Male Athlete of the Month, played in all 19 games at forward, leading the team with seven goals and seven assists, including one game winner against Victor Valley. On the season, he took 41 shots, 20 on goal.
