Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Aaron Gibson recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds, but the Compton men's basketball team (9-11, 0-2) lost to No. 6 Long Beach (16-4, 1-1), 94-81, on Friday evening.

Gibson added four assists and one steal to his night. Freshman Dominique Alexander and Sophomore Derrius Ennis both posted double-figure point nights with 23 and 20, respectively. 

The Tartars hit the road next week against Cerritos on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 1 at LA Harbor for a 5 p.m. tip.
