Compton, Calif. - Sophomore Aaron Gibson scored 27 points en route to a Compton men's basketball 110-71 win over the Warriors on Wednesday evening.
The Tartars wore purple for colon cancer awareness, which has affected the Tartar family for its annual Coaches vs. Cancer game.
Gibson shot 79 percent from the field with eight rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.
Freshman Dominique Alexander and Sophomore Derrius Ennis each recorded a double-double. Alexander with 14 points and 14 rebounds and Ennis with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Compton improves to 11-12, 2-3, while El Camino drops to 5-18, 1-4.
The Tartars next game is at LA Southwest on Friday, Feb. 8 for a 5 p.m tip.
