Compton, Calif. - Sophomore James Mitchell recorded his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, but the Compton men's basketball team (9-6) lost to LA Trade-Tech (12-2), 73-70, on Wednesday evening.

Mitchell added two steals and three assists to his night. Three other starters for the Tartars posted double-figure point nights with Freshman Dominique Alexander putting up 17 and Sophomores Aaron Gibson and Derrius Ennis with 15 each. 

The Tartars continue their week at Pasadena City College Friday, Jan. 11 at 6 p.m. for a South Coast Conference Crossover.
