Compton, Calif. - Sophomore L'kielynn Taylor posted his second triple-double of the season as the Tartars defeated Long Beach, 85-75, on Friday evening.
Taylor finished with 21 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists, also adding six steals and a blocked shot to his efforts.
Freshman Derrius Ennis led all scorers with 25 points, eight rebounds, and three steals, while three other Tartars reached double-figures in the points column.
Compton improves to 6-16, 3-3, while Long Beach now sits at 14-11, 3-3.
The Tartars continue South Coast Conference South Division play at No. 8 Cerritos on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.
