Glendale, Calif. - Head Coach Al Dorsey and sophomore linebackers Shepherd Grant and Fernando Navarro nabbed American Metro League honors, announced Monday.

First-year head coach Dorsey was named the league's Coach of the Year, while Grant and Navarro were both tabbed second team selections.

Grant led the team with 51 total tackles on the season (35 solo, 16 assists) to average 5.7 tackles per game. He earned two tackles for loss for a total of seven yards. 

Navarro finished the 2018 season third on the team in tackles with 38 (14 solo, 16 assists) to average 3.0 per game.He counted two pass breakups, 0.5 tackles for loss for a yard, and a fumble recovery.
