Sacramento, Calif. -  Sophomore cornerback Gregory Filer III was named All-California Region IV First Team Defense, announced Friday.

Filer was an unanimous All-American Metro League First Team Defense selection, recording 39 total tackles on the season, 20 in league play, with five interceptions on the year. In the team's matchup with Glendale, he earned two picks of his three total in league competition for 60 yards.
