Coach Shannon Williams Earns his 220th Career Win

Compton, Calif.- Congratulations to Coach Shannon Williams on earning his 220th career victory as the Head Baseball Coach for Compton College as stated by the California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA). Williams is currently in his 17th season with the Tartars and has now brought in more wins than any other head coach for the program. He has also helped lead the Tartars to two playoff showings including a major upset against Riverside City College during the first week of the 2013 playoffs. Coach Williams earned his 220th win on March 16th in the game against Chaffey College, defeating the Panthers 7-3.

In addition to his wins record, Coach Williams is also known for his strive to help his athletes continue to be successful. 170 of his student-athletes have transferred to four year colleges, 11 have signed professional baseball contracts, and 47 have earned All State Academic Selections (CCCBCA). These recognitions are just a few of the notables that Williams has seen his team collect.
