Compton, Calif. – Sophomore Mike Hernandez collected three RBIs as he went 3 for 5 and scoring twice, Thursday afternoon, but the Tartars (6-23, 3-12) fell to the Cerritos Falcons (6-20, 5-11) 22-17. In Hernandez's performance he batted both a double and a triple.
Sophomore Nick Redick went 2 for 4 with collected three RBIs and scoring three times. Freshman Anthony Reyes went 1 for 3 and collected three RBIs.
Sophomore Kevin Smith started on the mount for the Tartars. He pitched a total of five innings, collecting two strike outs. Freshman Rafael Cortez came in as relief where he pitched for two innings allowing no hits and collecting four strike outs.
The Compton Tartars will go against the LA Harbor Seahawks at home on Tuesday, Apr. 9 at 2:30 p.m.
